As we age, we lose fat and collagen just below the skins surface. This causes our skin to sag, formation of hollows, sunken cheeks and under eye-hollows.

Dermal fillers to the rescue!

Dermal fillers are injected into the dermis layer of the skin to help lift and fill in facial lines and creases, restoring a youthful, plumped-up appearance.

A lot of people think fillers and Botox® are similar. This is absolutely not true! Botox® is a muscle relaxant that can prevent further wrinkles, fillers on the other hand work on wrinkles and lines that have already set in and are used to fill them up. They give you a younger, smoother, wrinkle free face.

Fillers can be used for more than just wrinkles such as; plumping lips, creating a more pointy nose, slimmer jaw, hand rejuvenation, even creating a pointier chin!

The results are immediate and astonishing and can take several years off you in a single session.

• For smoothening of lines, wrinkles and folds (nasolabial folds, marionette lines, glabellar lines, crow’s feet, forehead lines)
• Lip augmentation. Create fuller and luscious lips.
• Cheek and Chin augmentation. Restores lost volume and creates a more youthful appearance.
• Filling up shallow scars and depressions (acne scars, under eye hollows/tear trough)
• Nose contouring. Enhance nose bridge and reshaping tip of nose.

Faces naturally lose fat as they age. This means that facial muscles are then working closer to the skin’s surface. As a result, facial lines and crow’s feet become more obvious. The skin on the face also stretches over time, and this causes a loss of volume. Combined with sun, lifestyle habits and hereditary factors, this stretching may lead to additional lines and wrinkles. The treatment of wrinkles with dermal filler will usually involve injecting Fillers through a tiny needle. Fillers work by lifting and smoothing targeted folds and wrinkles by adding subtle volume, making a difference to a person's appearance, giving them a fresher look.

Fillers are injected in the upper dermal layers of your skin through injections. Numbing cream is used to maximise the patient's comfort level.

Injectable wrinkle fillers relax the muscle under a wrinkle, fill the line, crease, or area. Wrinkle fillers can also be used as "volumizers," plumping and lifting cheeks, jawlines, and temples; filling out thin lips, and plumping sagging hands, for the chin and also for acne scars.

Depending on how sensitive your skin is, the effects may vary but on an average there may be some mild red spots at the injection sites, but they are gone the next day. Overall, the discomfort with Fillers is very minimal, especially in relation to the phenomenal results.

Again this depends individually however patients can expect to notice the effects for as long as 18 months after treatment. There is even precedence of results lasting up to 24 months in some cases.

There are no side effects as such if administered correctly, extreme side effects are rare but can include redness, swelling, and bruising at the injection site. The filler may also show up under the skin as tiny bumps.

It is important that patients are physically healthy and fit. People who do not smoke are also good candidates. People with immune problems or high diabetes should avoid fillers or consult their doctor and explain their patient history in detail.

This is the biggest misconception people have, if fillers is done right the changes are so subtle that you look beautiful without people being able to put a finger on how you look different. The most important factor you need to consider before you go for fillers is the doctor you go to. Make sure you doctor has sufficient experience and that you've seen their work earlier and trust their work.
