If you are 6 months away from your wedding, you begin to realise that it’s right around the corner and it is the perfect time to start taking care of yourself, especially for those improvements which take a couple of months to set in:

Get rid of the unwanted hair–

Laser Hair Removal is something more and more brides and grooms are opting for these days and why not, the new laser devices are virtually painless and it saves you the effort of waxing every single month. 7 sessions are recommended to see complete results so ideally you should start 6-7months before the big day, however even if you start now you will have reduced the hair growth considerably.

Watch that weight:

To get in shape for your wedding day, one should start to watch their weight at least six months prior. Maintain a proper diet, eat in moderation. Exercise regularly.

Have a healthy lifestyle

What you eat reflects on your face & body. For a clear skin acne free skin start avoiding dairy based products and sweets. Eat green vegetables and fruits for glowing skin (but remember to not over cook the vegetable eat them as raw as possible).Get your share of the beauty sleep now. Try to get at least 8 hrs of sleep and don’t forget to drink lots and lots of water

If you are 3 months away from the wedding, it is high time you start thinking about the condition of our skin and face. Looking your glowing natural best will give you a great confidence boast and make those wedding photos much nicer to look at too.

Visit a skin specialist and ask them to make a customize treatment and homecare plan

Opt for aesthetic aid as early as possible for any skin related difficulties:

There are various treatments out there which can transform the way you look drastically, however a lot of these treatments require multiple sessions as they are non-surgical. So if you do decide there are certain areas you want to get work done on, to see optimal results remember to start early. Certain treatments to consider are treatments that::

  • Reduce acne and other scars
  • Reduce pigmentation and even-out your skin tone such as lasers, peels, etc.
  • Permanently reduce unwanted hair painlessly
  • Revive thinning eyebrows or to even simply reshape them
  • Non-surgically tighten your face, neck, to sculpt your body
  • Reduce lines and wrinkles
  • Accentuate your chin and a whole lot more

Get rid of the unwanted hair:

Get Yourself Tested

Start eating healthy, exercise regularly and take care of yourself. Get a blood test done, if you have low levels of haemoglobin, platelets, etc this may get worse due to the wedding exhaustion and stress. So go get yourself tested and take the necessary precautions to make sure you stay healthy and fit before your big day!

Sun protection:

Sun not only pigments but also ages. Use preventive measure to avoid uneven shades on your body and face. Use sunscreen everyday at least 20 mins before leaving indoors even if it is not sunny. Identify the correct sunscreen depending on one’s skin type.

Antioxidants:

Important to cleanse your system from inside out – Beta Carotene, Vitamin C &EAntioxidants can be in the natural form, vitamins such as the new super antioxidant “Crystal Tomato” or even serums that can be applied directly to the skin. This is also a good time to start Glutathione for your skin tone as it needs a few sessions. One thing we need to remember is that vitamins are not ‘magic pills’ they take time to show results so you the sooner you start the better.

Don’t ignore your hair:

Go for a relaxing hair spa once a month and condition your hair every week. You can start PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) or other hair treatments if your hair is thinning

Facials

This is the perfect time to experiment with facials and treatments that have long term effects such as the AgeLess Stem Cell Facial™ which is the new and improved version of Hollywood’s favourite Vampire Facial and Mesotherapy. Both include injecting nutrients into your skin to boost collagen and give you younger, firmer, fresher looking skin.

Skin Routine

Develop a well thought out skin routine for yourself after consulting your doctor. Make sure your skin routine includes cleansing, toning, moisturizing and your new best friend- sunscreen! If you have acne prone skin use a salicylic acid based facewash to avoid break outs. Along with you daily dose of Vitamins, make sure your body gets enough omega 3 and plenty of green tea for a healthy body.

If you are 1 month away from the wedding we really hope you’ve been following your skin care regime and taking care of yourself. The things you need to consider in the most crucial month before the big day are:

Go for regular clean ups and facials which will have more impactful results on the wedding day

Super Facials’ are revolutionizing the age-old process of facials by using technology and the finest products blended in to a treatment with excellent results. For example HydraFacialTM which is loved by celebrities such as Paris Hilton, in Hollywood and consider a pre-Oscars must.

If Mesotherapy and AgeLess Stem Cell Facial™ which is the new and improved version of Hollywood’s favourite Vampire Facial have worked well for you earlier then this would be a good time to go for another session

Don’t ignore your body

This is a good time to go for body peels. This will help get rid of the pigmentation as well leave a glowing effect.

Vitamins

If you haven’t started already, it’s high time you start taking your vitamins. Vitamins through IV would be preferable at this point for quicker and better results.

Hair Removal

If you are undergoing laser hair removal then depending on the number of sessions you have completed and your hair growth, speak to your doctor and make sure your last session before the wedding is a month before if you still have hair growth. This is because you have to give your hair time to complete the cycle and fall off and for the hair that is still growing – you can simply wax 2-3days before your functions begin to be completely clean and then resume your laser sessions after the honeymoon.

Acne:

With the D-day getting closer, don’t pick on acne, they can spread and it will be difficult to get rid of the scars so close to the wedding day. Maintain a good clean diet (avoid diary and sugar), regular clean-ups, a good skin care regime with salicylic acid based cleanser go a long way to help keep your skin acne free. If acne does develop, use a cream containing Benzoyl peroxide

Make sure your hair looks as good as the rest of you

If you feel like you have frizzy hair or just want that extra oomph factor to your hair, now is the perfect time to opt for treatments like Cysteine and Keratherapy that provide your hair with the nourishment it needs and make it look smoother, shinier and simply stunning.

2 weeks before the wedding is the time when all the festivities have started and so has the excitement and stress.

Follow your Routine

This is not the time to try anything new, follow your skin care routine. By now you should always have all your essentials handy! A few products that a bride should always keep handy are –cleanser, tone and moisuturizer based on your skin type (eg those with oily acne prone skin should have a cleanser containing salicylic acid), sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher, good quality makeup remover, tea tree oil for acne, hyaluronic acid for nourishment.

Do not experiment

As you get close to your wedding remember not to experiment with new products or treatments, especially when you only have a few days to go. Doing a trial run with your make-up artist well in advance with the actual products they intend to use is a must. Try and eat at regular hours and keep yourself well hydrated. Stick with your well planned skin care regime.

Clear your Skin

This is the perfect time to go for a good clean up! Get those white and black heads extracted, go for microdermabrasion if required. This is also a good time to go for your 2nd session of lightening laser to even out any pigmentation and brighten your skin tone.

1 week before the wedding, you have your skin routine setso work around it, don’t disturb your routine

Acne Damage Control

If you do have break outs at this point it’s better to get injected instead of using topical drying agents. Go see your doctor as soon as break outs start appearing.

Relaxation and Exercise

At this time you have too much going on already so do not try new stuff. Just relax, eat well and exercise regularly.

Pamper Yourself

Go to the Spa and indulge in some ‘you’ time. Get a relaxing massage so that you and your body can feel calm and relaxed.

Final Instant Treatments

If you need any treatments for instant lifting and firming, this is the ideal time to get them done. This way you’ll be in the desired shape by the time of your wedding and all signs of the treatment procedure would have subsided.

Final Prep

This is the final prep before the festivities begin! Go get your waxing and eyebrows done. A lot of times brides wax their backs for the first time and have a wax rash. If you have never waxed your back before it is best to opt for bleach at this point of time. This is also a good time to go for body polishing and make sure the rest of your body is as radiant as your face.

Pre-Wedding Facial

This should be the facial you have tried and tested and know for a fact that it works like magic for your skin. We personally recommend not to trust salons this close to your big day, go to an aesthetic clinic to make sure it’s done right.

3 days before the wedding! Your functions are in full swing you’ve already worn too much jewelry and make up and just can’t wait for the big day!

Acne

This is a time most brides start to develop zits due to the stress and make up. Follow your routine and do not pop the zit as it may cause infection. You can either go to your doctor and get it extracted or else apply clindamycin or benzoyl peroxide, as per your doctor’s recommendation.

Relax

Your functions have started, you have so much going on, don’t worry about anything just have fun and enjoy all the attention. If you do get some time slip away for a nice relaxing massage and enjoy the best days of your life.

Wedding Eve

Sleep

No treatment in the world can compensate for a god night’s sleep, this is why we call it beauty sleep. We know you’re jittery and excited all at the same time but to look fresh you have to have a good night’s sleep.

What to avoid

For your big day tomorrow avoid caffeine as much as you may love it as it dehydrates you and makes you look sallow. Also the 2 things you should try and avoid the most are drinking and smoking as nothing can do more harm to your skin than these two.

Make up Ready

Do not take any chances with new make up brands or products at this point. Make sure your make up artist uses the same products that she used in your make up trial before the wedding.

Food

This is the time when you tend to eat the most amount of junk food, however make sure when you’re not in your functions you eat healthy and at regular time so as to not disturb your routine. Also drink a lot of water and keep yourself hydrated at all times.
